How to look great on Zoom after a Heavy Night

How to look great on Zoom after a Heavy Night

We’ve all had one too many drinks on a weekday and had to face the office the next day. Recently, it’s all been virtual. It’s a bit easier to not look hungover on Zoom, but there are still some things to consider if you don’t want to leave a bad impression on your boss and colleagues.

Try to have enough time for breakfast and an After Party Shot

One of the undeniable perks of working from home is being able to lie in. However, do try to get up at least an hour before your meeting is due to start, to give yourself enough time to get properly ready.

Having breakfast is one of the best things you can do to make yourself feel better when hungover. Try to make sure that you have enough time for breakfast, even if it’s just cereal or toast and peanut butter.

Eating will settle your stomach - meaning that you’re less at risk of having to run off-screen for a tactical chunder - and give you an extra energy boost for the meeting.

Can’t face a full breakfast? Try a juice with one of our After Party Recovery shots. It has vitamins, minerals and fruit extracts and will help you feel more alert during your meeting and throughout your workday.

Have a shower

Showers are an addition to most people’s morning routines, but they can be easy to avoid when you are working from home. Don’t skip the shower if you are hungover - they can make you feel more awake, which is necessary when on a Zoom chat!

Other benefits are that they can increase your circulation and reduce muscle inflammation, which are both impacted when you’re hungover.

We love some invigorating shower gel, our favourite is Ren’s Atlantic Kelp And Magnesium Anti-Fatigue Body Wash which wakes us up a treat. It really puts a spring in our step no matter how sleepy we are.

We also smear on some light reflecting tinted moisturiser to bounce light away from the inevitable eye bags bareMinerals Complexion Rescue makes us look slightly less haggard even if we feel awful

Get your lighting right

Sales of rings lights have gone through the roof this year! If you don’t have one make sure you sit in front of the window.

Don’t take your zoom call in the darkness - sit in front of a bright window and let the natural light wake you up. Sunlight helps most people feel better when hungover, and the lighter your screen is, the less hungover you’ll look!

Hopefully, these tips will help you have successful zoom meetings, even after a few too many cocktails!
